First Aid for the Soul - Your first point of contact in crises
The last 2.5 years have not always been easy for the mental health of employees and students of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria.
The Gender and Diversity Management Conference has proactively reacted to this situation and trained employees in "Mental Health First Aid". At all four faculties, a total of 16 colleagues are now available for counselling and as a first point of contact in case of a mental health crisis and will try to provide Mental Health First Aid.
You can find the the first aiders for mental health on the website of the GDM-C. All members of the FH OÖ, students and employees, can reach out to the first aiders. Forwarding this information to potentially interested parties is strongly encouraged!
Just as "physical" first aid, "Mental Health First Aid" provides psychological first aid in concrete cases and also tries to support in crises situations (suicidal thoughts, danger to self or others).
In addition, our trained colleagues are also available for "small" problems or simply for a chat. They also have information material at their disposal and can recommend further counseling centers in the event of various psychological stresses or illnesses (depression, stress, eating disorders, schizophrenia, burn out, etc.).
