The University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria presents the Diversity Calendar
In the winter semester of 2020/21, the Vice President Organisation and Quality Management, Dr Regina Aichinger, MSc, tasked a group of master students from the study program Communication and Knowledge Media with establishing a project that would support the Diversity Management of the University of Applied Sciences in the long term. The project was supervised by the Professor Dr Martina Gaisch and Victoria Rammer, MMA. Following extensive research into the topic of diversity and its adjacent subject areas, the students created the Diversity Calendar, which enables students and employees at the university to stay informed on event days throughout the year covering all facets of diversity.
After in-depth development of its content, the Diversity Calendar was published on the website of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in November 2021, where it is available to all who are keen to learn more about the topic of diversity.
Generating Awareness
The goal of the Diversity Calendar is to generate awareness for the broadness of the subject. At the same time, the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria aims to highlight the importance of the topics and events presented on the calendar. Everyone, regardless of background, should get involved to combat issues like racism, a lack of gender equality, and lack of rights for members of the LGBTQIA*+ community.
The Diversity Calendar acts as a resource for all topics regarding Diversity. Have a look and stay up to date! Diversity Kalender
