From HCI to HRI - Introducing Human-Robot Interaction.
The advent of technological developments in recent years has led the way to design and innovate interactive interfaces, such as robots, that can enhance our daily life activities. The Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) field has contributed to this development and, in this talk, I will shed light on the importance of HCI, and the how it maps to the Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) field. The talk will include my perspective on HRI, with examples of HRI projects, prototypes and demos. At the end, we will wrap up with open questions, and discussion points.
